Description

Gold and cedarwood.
It might be an offering of the kings Ferdinand I and Sancha around the year 1060, although at the time it was believed to be an earlier offering of Ordoño II, hence the name by which this Lignum Crucis is known, that has undergone many transformations throughout history. Together with the Cross with a rinceau pattern and, perhaps, the Cross from Carboeiro, they are proofs of the wealth of the Compostela Treasure when the works of the Romanesque Cathedral started.
